The Sound Exchange was a Youth Exchange involving 35 people from the following 7 countries: Denmark, Italy, Spain, Georgia, Estonia, Czech Republic and Ukraine. The topic of the project was to explore sound as a tool of cultural expression, anything starting from radio drama to experimental and electro-acoustic music. During one week participants had been working on their own sound pieces of different kind, and at the end of the week they presented them to a public premiere. ~ ISCR Programs Department

One of the main goals of the entire centre is to give the scouts of Rustavi space for their indoor and outdoor activities, and where the organization will have a permanent office to deal with the necessary everyday administrational work. It is the function of the new building to meet these requirements. Moreover, the centre shall serve other youth groups in Georgia, e.g. from the capital Tbilisi nearby, as a meeting place for special events (training courses, seminars, planning weekends, etc.). Besides this function, the International scout center Rustavi shall generate some income through the temporary rental of rooms to third parties, also hostel could host schools, universities and non-governmental organizations, which are looking for a place to organize their study weeks outside the usual (school) environment. Finally, tourists - individuals or groups - represent a third target group for the rental of rooms.
